Pav Bhaji - snack /snacks

Pav bhaji is a tasty food. It is very famous in mumbai. To make it first we must make pav bhaji powder. so let us make it first.

INGREDIENTS :

• Red chili/ sigapu milagai - 7
• coriander seeds/thaniya- 4tbsp
• cumin seeds/seeragam- 2tbsp
• black pepper/milagu -1/4tbsp
• cinnamon sticks/pattai-1/2 inch
• cloves/lavangam/kirambu-3
• cardamom /elackai- 4 to 5
• dry mango powder-2 tbsp
• fennel seeds/sombu-1tbsp

DIRECTIONS:

• Take a pan, roast all the ingredients (except dry mango powder).
• Roast it for few minutes
• Now add dry mango powder and roast it for few seconds .
• Now switch off the stove and make it cool down.
• Once the mixture completely cools down , grind it very well as a powder
• Store it in airtight container.

Now let us see how to make pav bhaji:

INGREDIENTS:

• Potato - 4
• cauliflower -half cup (chopped)
• green peas-half cup
• onion- 1 big size(chopped)
• capsicum (chopped)
• tomato- 2medium sized(chopped)
• red chili powder- 1/2 tbsp
• turmeric powder-1/4 tbsp
• coriander powder- 1 tbsp
• ginger garlic paste -1 tbsp
• butter - 3 tbsp
• pav bhaji masala powder -2 tbsp
• salt
• fresh lemon
• bread or bun

DIRECTIONS:

• Boil the potato ,peel off the skin and smash it very well.
• Heat the pan with butter , add chopped onion and ginger garlic paste , and roast it very well till the raw smell goes off.
• Then add cauliflower and fry for a minute, then add tomatoes, salt , turmeric powder, coriander powder, pav bhaji masala powder, red chili powder.
• Fry till tomatoes turn soft, add all other vegetables and fry till the butter stagnant
• cook this in sim and mash with ladle well.
• Squeeze some lemon and sprinkle chopped coriander for garnishing
• enjoy with bread (pav)
