what are the countries with out army ?

  There are few countries in this world without army or depending the defense on other nations. Here are the few countries list that has no army.

1. Andorra

                      Andorra has no standing army but signed treaties with Spain and France for its protection.Its small volunteer army is purely cermeniol in function. Paramilitary force is part of national police.Defense agreement is signed with France and spain.

2.Dominica

                      Dominica donot have a army since 1981. Its defence is taken care by RSS (Regional Security service) which is formed by eastern carribean states.

3.Grenada 

                Grenada doesnot have a army since 1983  and its defence is also taken care by RSS.

4.Kiribati 

              They only have an maritime surveillance unit and their defence is taken care by australia and newzealand as an informal agreement.

5.Liechtenstein

                The army is disbanded in 1968 and defence is provided by austria and switzerland  as defence agreement

6.Marshall Islands 

                 They only have maritime surveillance unit and their defence is taken care by United states.

7.Federated states of Micronesia

                   They only have internal security and their defence is taken care by US and compact of free association.

8.Nauru 

                   Australia takes the defense responsibility for this country even though it has a big police force with high armed.

9.Palau 

                    Defense assistance is taken by US and Compact of free associations.

10.Saint Lucia 

                     Defense of Saint Lucia is taken by RSS.

11.Saint Vincent and Grenadines.

                   Defense is assisted by RSS.

12.Samoa .

       New Zealand is responsible for Defense.

13.Solomon Islands

      Defense is assisted by Regional Assisted Mission to Solomon Islands.

14.Tuvalu

       This country only has a small police force.

15.Vatican city 

                 Informaly Italian armed forces protect Vatican city.

16. Costa Rica 

                 It does have military for internal security but no standing army. UN's peace keeping force is head quartered at Costa Rica

17. Iceland 

                Its  an active member in NATO and doesn't have standing army. 

18.Mauritius 

              Military police are under command of commissioner of police,  so it has no standing army.

19.Monaco

                 Defense responsibility is taken care by France.

20.Panama 

       The country has no standing army but their national police is trained to have warfare capabilities 

21. Vanuatu 

        This country maintain paramilitary force only for internal security.
